More Detail On Procore's Project Home Screen
The Project Home page provides a useful "dashboard overview" of the current status of the project. By viewing Procore's unique dashboard chart, any user can quickly see that status of key items on a project. Requests-for-Information (RFIs), change orders, construction project management tasks, and punch list items are all monitored using a red/yellow/green chart.
Construction project management software is useful, but using most construction software can result in a mountain of data without clearly calling out what crucial issues need to be addressed immediately. Procore's approach to construction management software is different - we want to provide construction project management software that illuminates instead of confuses. Towards that end, the red/yellow/green helps construction project managers get a handle on their construction projects, instead of just producing lots of data.
Procore's Project Home page highlights overdue items with a red bar, and notes exactly how many items are overdue according to the construction project schedule. Items that have a due date within the next seven days are highlighted in yellow, while those items due more than a week in the future are marked with green. Procore's approach to construction management software is to use the software to help rather than confuse.
Construction project management software should also help you to keep a handle on the flow of information into a particular construction project. This is where Procore's approach to construction project management software shines - Procore is able to show in real time what new items have been entered into the system. New items could include email messages from one construction project team member to another; new documents or images uploaded to Procore's online archive; or even new responses to RFIs and punch list items.
Finally, Procore also keeps track of what's on the schedule for today. The Today's Schedule section uses Procore's tight integration with the leading construction project management scheduling software tools in order to display the project tasks for the current day. Tasks are displayed using the task name on ID number, and also display the resource name assigned to that task. The task start and finish date are provided, as is the percentage complete for each unique task.
