In its ongoing bid to be the dominant airline at LAX, Delta airlines has been given the greenlight to move forward with its $1.9 billion relocation from terminals 5 and 6 on the south side of the airport, to terminals 2 and 3 on the north side. While the move does include the sorts of posh new upgrades passengers will ultimately embrace, in the shorter term the move will mean lots of navigating around airport construction sites as the giant airline makes the massive move while continuing day-to-day operations. Delta will also be adding gates, boosting their number from 16 to 22.
