How to Uphold Diversity and Growth at Your Construction Firm
The construction industry has had a difficult time attracting millennials and Gen Z largely because many of them view the industry as “behind the times” and were never educated about the opportunities provided by the industry. In order to correct this pattern, it’s time for the industry to take matters into its own hands and take some steps to recruit and retain some young, diverse talent. Procore Technologies recently announced the dates and fully-virtual format for the 6th annual Groundbreak conference. The conference will feature a fireside chat with Dr. Brene Brown, a keynote from Procore CEO “Tooey Courtemanche”, two exciting product releases, and more. Because of the remote nature of Groundbreak 2020, Procore is offering two avenues attendees can choose from––the Starter Pass (FREE) or the Premium Pass ($99), register here. The infamous robot dog, Spot, has a new integration with FARO Technologies Inc, a 3D scanning and imaging solution. By partnering with FARO, Spot can now autonomously create 3D scans of your jobsite, “making it easier than ever to maintain a continuously updated digital twin” says Brian Ringley, Boston Dynamics’ Construction Technology Manager. Dive into more business news, check out the latest tech trends, and get a couple quick tips from our safety section.
