Alliance Project Group hits critical QA milestones with Procore
Implementation of Procore supports the company’s long-term commitment to quality construction.
The Challenge
Alliance Project Group wanted to move towards a fully integrated cloud-based construction system to enhance collaboration and support quality building processes. Since information is critical to a quality build, digitising the company’s systems and forms and documenting and reporting on its construction projects in Procore has been a huge boon. It would ensure everything Alliance Project Group builds is constructed safely and to a high standard.
Before the switch to Procore, they relied on a mix of software, apps, and paper documentation for construction management. Multiple unauthorised apps crept into the system, and the executive team acknowledged this approach was neither efficient nor secure.
The Solution
In early 2020, Alliance Project Group implemented Procore Project Management, Quality and Safety, and Bid Management workflow processes. This change was a move to support the company’s long-term commitment to quality construction. Plus, it would give them the digital ITP workflow necessary to benchmark quality standards and meet the duty of care compliance requirements for NSW building projects.
As a first step, Contracts Administrator Abdul Zreika digitised the company’s documents and forms and implemented Procore across two projects already in play. The next phase saw the implementation of Procore across the new Lidcombe Walk project. The company also began training various teams to understand how the critical information stored in Procore would improve essential safety and quality benchmarks—benefiting its future builds. The final phase in the rollout saw Procore implemented in its largest build to date, The Parkside in Macquarie Park. Here, Procore would deliver the template Alliance Project Group needs for every step of the construction phase in the future.
The Results
- 30% efficiency improved across the company
- 95% greater accuracy in maintaining on-site registers
- 10,000 digitised ITPs projected across 300+ apartments
“Digitising our ITPs workflow and quality control with Procore gave us an early roadmap for documenting our quality build process and benchmarking. Now with Action Plans, we will be able to add another crucial step in our compliance requirements for NSW Building Commission Inspections.”

The Ongoing Benefits of Action Plans and Digital ITPs Workflow
Alliance Project Group needed to enhance their construction workflow management remotely and provide the proper record trails for on-site quality and safety and they chose Procore for this purpose. With Procore, safety officers can access and complete digital workflow documentation on an iPad, sharing observations with contractors on-site in real time.
The recently implemented Procore Action Plans will enable Alliance Project Group to set requirements and benchmark critical quality outcomes. It is expected to help with regular audits – proving crucial in the light of the recent changes in quality legislation with the NSW Building Commission.
"Creating a digital ITP workflow trail has been an extremely effective decision for the business. We have a 60-strong team and a wider network of architects, engineers and consultants that are all fully accountable now with the Procore system," says Abdul.
This paved the way for a positive response from the NSW Building Commission following a preliminary inspection.
"Since we keep all our digital workflow records, our consultants, engineers and architects can sign off drawings and changes, and everything can be seen as it is logged. This workflow trailed from drawing to build, informed processes on how we deliver and monitor quality, which is key in the new quality-focused environment. Alliance Project Group has successfully utilised the digital ITP workflow process in obtaining an Occupation Certificate (OC) approval with NSW Fair Trading. Procore made this process much easier."
Transforming Compliance
At that time, Procore delivered best practices needed to comply with industry standards. Merging the existing integrated management system into the Procore platform gave teams access to real-time data across their projects.
Every safety incident was adequately recorded, site diaries were uploaded automatically, up-to-date drawings were easily accessed, and digital ITPs workflow kept the projects progressing. Procore’s custom tools ensured that registers for everything from safety to hazardous substances were accurate and always up to date. They found monitoring consultants and contractors remotely delivered new levels of accountability. Now, Alliance is looking to build a quality assurance team as their focus on quality construction continues.
"Before Procore, we were always physically adjusting our quality assurance documentation. Now, it’s all digital workflows, and that time is diverted to maintain our quality benchmarks and better monitor our build teams," says Abdul.
