Streamlining Processes, Enhancing Productivity

Alpine’s work on University College London's Rockefeller Substation shows these real-life benefits. With Procore's powerful Documents and Drawings tools, Alpine was able to store, organise and access all project-related drawings and documents in one place so the latest versions could be automatically distributed to the teams installing the work on site. Once they centralised all their photos, drawings and specs, the team was able to spend less time chasing down information, and more time getting work done.

“This not only saved us time but reduced the risk of miscommunication or loss of information,” explains John Robinson. “The ability to access these documents in real time also ensured that all team members were working with the most up-to-date information.”

This has also helped Alpine Works deal with the particular complexity of mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering (MEP) projects. Procore is a good fit for MEP because it answers the high coordination needs on the design side, while having everything in one place allows the site and office to access the information they need.

Additionally, Alpine’s work on The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine's Salix Substation benefitted from Procore’s detailed and timely tracking of RFIs and submittals––helping their projects run smoothly and remain on schedule. As John Robinson explains, “Procore ensured that nothing fell through the cracks. This helped us maintain a high level of quality control and ensured that all work was completed according to specifications.”

Driving User Engagement

An essential part of driving results through Procore is first driving user engagement. Alpine Works’ previous system saw low engagement levels and they knew this needed to change. Procore’s ease of use, intuitive design and user-friendly interface made it easier for team members to quickly navigate the platform, and get hands-on with the various features. Plus the mobile app allowed team members to easily find and enter the information they needed. “The mobile app is particularly useful for our on-site team members, who can now access project information and updates in real time,” says John Robinson. “Procore has reduced the learning curve typically associated with new software, allowing our team to quickly adapt to the new system.”

In order to continue to achieve its desired level of user engagement, Alpine Works needed to ensure Procore integrated with their preferred tools like Microsoft Outlook, Project and Teams. Thanks to Procore’s robust App Marketplace, Alpine was able to connect their systems––streamlining their processes and making collaboration easier.
