Procore.org Provides Construction Software to Habitat for Humanity
Partnership provides complete access to Procore's suite of cloud-based apps to Habitat for Humanity.
CARPINTERIA, Calif., September 27, 2017 — Procore Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based applications for construction, today announced a new partnership with Habitat for Humanity International through Procore.org, the company's non-profit foundation launched in March. The partnership provides Habitat for Humanity with unlimited use of Procore's suite of products, including Project Management, Quality & Safety, and Construction Financials as an in-kind donation.
Habitat for Humanity builds strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter, and through this partnership with Procore.org, the international nonprofit will now have the full support of Procore. In addition to software, the partnership includes access to Procore's customer support and implementation, enabling each Habitat project to be completed on time to create more decent and affordable places to call home.
"We are grateful for Procore's innovative partnership," said Lynda Smith, senior director of Corporate Relations at Habitat for Humanity International. "This software will help Habitat streamline construction management to allow tracking and collaboration for Habitat project managers and contractors."
"Procore is honored to be able to support the positive work that Habitat for Humanity has done and will continue to do in communities across the globe," said Darryl Kysar, director of Procore.org. "We believe that empowering the industry through education, training, and access to technology will advance construction and have a positive impact on the people and communities the industry serves."
Mirroring its corporate client agreements, Procore will provide Habitat for Humanity with an unlimited user license, allowing every local Habitat to utilize Procore on their projects. Currently, more than 40 Habitat organizations are utilizing Procore, and the goal is to expand this use to as many Habitats as necessary.
"With Procore we're able to communicate seamlessly with our field workers because it's a cloud-based application that works across all mobile devices," said Gary Blais, Construction Manager, Habitat for Humanity of Broward, Inc. "In addition, the Procore daily log tool has helped to quickly communicate issues out in the field so that they can be resolved in a timely manner."
Procore.org works with universities to educate the future construction workforce, supports the advancement of the trades and skilled labor, and provides free access to Procore products to nonprofit organizations that are helping to build and rebuild within local communities. About Habitat for Humanity
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in more than 1,300 communities throughout the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
